I was asked to quickly create a device to rotate tadpoles for use in a biology expedition. The fun part is that the device was taken to Panama, where it operated for many hours per day and lasted the whole summer. The rotator had to be durable and reasonably water resistant (hence the tupperware). Two buttons move the shaft in 15 degree increments and the angle is displayed on the LCD.
