DethScooter

DethScooter was my first major electric vehicle build. I learned many lessons in mechanical and electrical design, user safety, and the importance of water-resistant components. DethScooter was named so because it sent three people to the hospital in the first month of existence and could travel on flat ground at 40+ mph.

DethScooter was retired March 3, 2012 after traveling an estimated 300+ miles since its completion in July 2011. The decision to not replace the broken motor controller was made because the vehicle was quite dangerous and went far too fast to be remotely safe, even for an experienced rider.
