ME360

In ME360 I was responsible for a large portion of the CAD for our projects. The most impressive of these designs are the Articulated Arthritic Assistant, the Aquos Pressura, and Pharos.

The Articulated Arthritic Assistant is a device designed for patients with arthritis in their finger joints who can contract their hand muscles even though they are unable to move their fingers. The product detects muscle stimulation through an EMG ring that is fastened just past the user's elbow, where the finger muscles are located. This will allow the user to grip objects by using a very light actuation of finger muscles that is translated to stronger movements by the internal microcontroller and servos.

Pharos is a modular lamp system. A base station is sold with sections that can be screwed into each other. Power as well as data is delivered through rings/contacts on the top and bottom of each section.

Aquos Pressura is a dishwasher that has pressurized nozzles under where each item will go to maximize cleaning and reduce time. The Aquos Pressura's nozzles are divided into four individually controlled sections that can be used individually. This provides the functionality of doing very small washing loads which would be convenient for a person living in an apartment alone who takes a long time to produce enough dirty dishes to warrant a full load.
