My attempt at a 'prettier' homebuilt quadrotor. The case will be 3D printed and all electronics will be enclosed. Wiring will ideally be hidden as much as possible.

 

In the gallery on the right, the motor controllers are red, the flight controller is green, the battery is blue, and the receiver is gray.

Since the initial post, the design has changed slightly. Several support structures were removed and the outer housing has changed shape to accomodate a different arrangement of parts.

The quadrotor weighs in at 932g and seems pretty solidly held together (fingers crossed). Still waiting for another transmitter to come in :(
